sometimes i wish i could live in the country. cuddle up in my favorite sweater while cooking, doing crafts, and listening to music all day long. if that was the case... i would be wearing this corded grey sweater, sitting on that wide wood porch, and eating this creamy butternut squash soup. not too shabby right?

... oh and the fireman, well he'd probably be hunting. of course.

first things first, happy friday!

this weekend we have some fun plans lined up... a day with my family at the Del Mar horse races ((aka: 1st annual "Surf Meets the Turf" yes, it's actually called that)) and then a cozy day in on sunday... which i am personally {super} excited for. sometimes you just need to make a day to be home and enjoy your home! so what ever your plans are... i hope you find some time to kick your feet up and relax!

these could really round out my cozy sunday in.

happy friday friends! nothing could make a cozy friday afternoon better then a grilled cheese sandwich filled brie, fig jam, and grilled in rosemary butter! YUM, right??! when my day settles down today i hope to snuggle into the corner of my couch with one of these glorious sandwiches. and i'm predicting, that i'll be wearing something a little like this...

let's talk LUXURY baby! if i could sneak away with the fireman to do nothing but just relax... this {little} LOVE BOAT may be at the top of my list! this 5-star floating hotel is called Aria and cruises along the Amazon River {in Peru} in style!! it was designed by architect Jordi Puig and was built to offer all the amenities that a 5-star hotel would, on land. this ship accommodates only 32 guests with 16 suits, a fine dinning room, an outdoor jacuzzi and lounge area, an exercise room, all with cabins that face the water with larger panoramic views... not too shabby right!? i'm not a big cruiser-person, but i think i could manage on this boat! 

***how great would it be to rent this puppy out with your closest 30 friends?? now, THAT would be a party!! right!?

ok ok, i know it's only january 3rd... but i'm getting a little gitty & excited to dress for Spring! it may be because we're in the middle of a mini-heat-wave here in LA, or just because i LOVE fashion and the ever changing excitement that it brings! so today's DAY-dreaming is all about Spring Fashion... and the lovely bright looks i can't WAIT to get my hands on! so without further adue here is a little sneak-peek of Madewell's Spring 2012 lookbook... which if you couldn't tell, i love.

today's the perfect day for a little day dreaming! sometimes we get so stuck in the daily hussle-n-bussle that we ignore the little things that can bring a smile to our faces. like even a simple thought! so when you're waiting in line for your daily cup of joe, or sitting in traffic on your way into work... take a little time to daydream! i put together two little {DAY}dreams i've been recently having... ONE: to have an entire day where i can be cozy & creative {sewing & cooking} in my little home. and my daydream number TWO: is to create my dream office space that would inspire & encourage me daily. see my little daydream collages below... what have you been daydreaming about these days?

as the work week progresses, my head becomes more clouded w. sticktly work, work, work... and leaves little room for my new found love of blogging & enjoying the creative process. it's all about balance people (!)... and today i am going to work hard & daydream (a little) too!
