how was your Super Bowl Sunday??? did you tune in, bring an app, or host a party?? well the fireman and i hosted a mini Super Bowl shin-dig and had a few of our fabulous friends over. the boys watched the game, while us gals caught up, made food, refilled drinks, and tuned in for those crazy-expensive Super Bowl commercials! by the time the second half rolled around (and we were all stuffed full of food) us gals finally had a seat and hung with the boys!! here's a recap of our successful Super Bowl Sunday!

i know i know, HOW is it already February!? and what's all this talk about Spring Fashion?? isn't it still snowing somewhere in the world? well, Spring is almost here weather we like it or not... no pun intended (wink-wink!). but don't worry, because Spring Fashion {2012} is super bright, vibrant n' neon, & oh-so FABULOUS! so let's talk fashion and what EVERY designer is doing for Spring. yup, you guessed it... NEON baby!

*a little fashion-y side-note: this post-winter-pre-spring chapter in fashion is actually called Resort (or Cruise)... and to be honest can be a little confusing. i guess people would take a holiday during the first few months of the year...and maybe go on a cruise or check out a resort! so that's where the name came from and that's what this pre-post shipment was intended for. your family cruise to a lovely resort! who knew?! anyway, enjoy your neon!

NOT your Mama's tuna sandwich...

this may not be your typical tuna sandwich... but man is it good! i figure most people make a tuna sandwich like their mother's made them, but this little combo is definitely NOT your mama's tuna sandwich... it's mine! yum yum & YUM. and come to think of it, it's almost exactly like the tuna sandwiches my mom used to make me! so there it is! the idea behind this non-typical-tuna is to add a lot of crunch, a little sweet, and all while keeping it healthy & fresh. so if you're a tuna-lover... then make sure to try this one at home!

ingredients not pictured:

light mayo, a little olive oil & balsamic vinegar, sweet relish, and mustard (i use a spicy mustard & a sweet mustard)

 {my favorite canned tuna is from Trader Joe's... "Solid White Tuna- in water"}

{add all your ingredients together. a little note... if you don't have cranberries or almonds on-hand, you can always substitute for raisins and walnuts! when in doubt keep it crunchy & keep it sweet!}

{did i mention how DELISH this toasted raisin bread is! SO good.}

when it comes to getting crafty the gals at Honestly WTF have got it down!!! what better timing then the first day of February to start talking hearts! how romantical! i don't know what i love more about these pretty {little} hearts. whether it's the rusty red color against the soft heather grey, or the fact that these precious little puppies are made from raw wool! i just adore this DIY and can't wait to try it at home! i was thinking of trying this method on a throw pillow for our bed.

a wool sweater, a 36 gauge felting needle, a piece of dense foam cut to size or needle mat, some wool roving, a 3″ heart cookie cutter, an iron
