FLEA MARKET FINDS.

sunday morning with a large low-fat latte and $50 in tote i was off to the Long Bleach flea market for my monthly vintage retail therapy. as i was on my way out the front door... the fireman said jokingly, "if you come home with any vintage bottles, vases, or plates... i may not let you back in!" lol. turns out i have a slight hoarding situation over here when it comes to vintage bottles, vases, and plates!! so instead... i brought home a ceramic pitcher (that i can still hold flowers in), a silver trophy, vintage matches, a turquoise squash blossom necklace, "te amo" embroidered fabric (that i'll soon turn into pillow cases), annnnnnd a Mexican embroidered tablecloth! phew!!  so he let me back in AND i felt like i scored... and all for under $50!

happy friday firends! i hope you guys made it through this difficult week with high spirits and a rejuvenated appreciation for, life. i know i have. being a Blogger i know that i sometimes reach readers around this little globe that we live on... so if you are one of my lovely Boston readers... i'd like you to know that my thoughts & prayers are with you and your fellow Bostonians. #prayforboston

this weekend i am participating in one of my ultimate favorite activities, shopping the Flea Market. i am bringing one of my girlfriends for her very first time... and i am so very ready for the treasure hunt to begin. i actually have a few things on my list this month! like more funky globes to add to my collection AND (if i can find it) a fabulous Danish chair. so check out my little list of vintage treasures that i've created above...  and have a great weekend!!

happy monday (booo-whooo). over the past weekend i hit up my #1 most favorite flea market ((the Long Beach Swap)) and discovered a fabulous {new to me} vendor that i absolutely love! i have my regular vintage bottle guy, my funky dishware lady, a booth that carries gorgeous linens, a crazy broach woman, and now i've got a kick{ass} sign guy! and not to say the "W" word... but i may have found something special for our big-day! check these killer signs out...

these simply cool signs are incandescent bulbs mounted on reclaimed wood and are framed by {mostly} reclaimed aluminum... not too shabby right?! AND they look good too!
