happy {healthy} monday! last week the fireman and i watched the movie Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead and got super inspired by the two main guys in the movie. so inspired by their drive, will-power, and results ((of their juicing)) that we decided to jump on the juicing band-wagon!! so we are going to juice our {little} buns off for the next 10 DAYS to see how it makes us feel... from the inside out! we're not really considering this a cleanse (& don't really consider ourselves cleanse people) but are going to try and drink 3 juice's a day while eating small portions of protein throughout the day. we are NO health guru's... this is just something we kinda came up with on our own. so we'll see how it goes! (i'll keep you posted with the process!)

yup, we used ALL these veggies & fruit for our juice. and it was good! for more yummmy juice combo's go here!
**make sure to wash all you fruits & veggies thoroughly. Dr. Oz says 30 seconds of direct water is just about right. (hello! Dr. Oz is buddies with Oprah, so he's got to be right, right!??) 
a couple of my juicing faves are carrots, cucumber, kale, orange, beet, apple, & cantaloupe. we try to use mostly veggies and because of the sugar content, only a few pieces of fruit. 
**there are a tons of juicers out there, but this is the one we use... and it works great!

wow!!! i commend you for you get healthy efforts, but i don't think i could do a mostly juice diet. i DO really want a a juicer though. such an easy way to get a lot of veggies into your diet quickly!

i juiced for about 2 weeks a few months ago and got a little sick... so i had to stop! it's really tasty though, and really good for you! go girl!!

haha i'm actually going to school for holistic nutrition (which is all about fruits and veggies) and watched FSaND last year...

which inspired me to do a 31 day juice fast this january.. and i DI IT. drank nothing but fresh juice for 31 whole days (i ate NOTHING the month of january)... you can totally do it! you might feel weird the first few days, but that's just you detoxing- which is a GOOD thing (:

also, please DO NOT fear the sugar content in fruit. that sugar gets directly absorbed into our systems almost immediately (fueling our cells so they can repair themselves aka get healthy!)- which means we dont have to work to break it down. sugar in fruit is actually the most perfect thing for our bodies- so dont fear it!

Ash-- thank you for the encouragement! That's awesome!! 31 days??! Good for you! We're only doing ten and eating small portions of protein in between juices. I just wanted to re-kick start and start eating healthy again. Thanks for all the info :))

Awesome way to start a health kick. I wish I had a juicer so I could make my own delicious juice. I'm already called a health freak by my friends. Love to try a juice fast one of these days.
