// photo's & recipe by the fashion gal //
to celebrate New Years Eve, the fireman & i had champagne, appetizers, & dinner at our house with my brother and his girlfriend! it was such a nice & super mellow night. we all cooked all together, drank a little too much bubbly, and even got a few little projects done around the new house! see, my brother's an electrical contractor, so he's always really helpful with new projects.. and will always for work for food! this delish Ahi Tuna Stack recipe was created by my mom and has become a favorite in our family. trust me, once you make it once... you'll love it too!
*and PS: this recipe couldn't be any easier to make... bonus!
**check out my favorite kind of appetizer here!!
get crafty & get choppin...
ingredients & supplies:
-Ahi Tuna (sushi grade)
- 2-3 Avocados
- Pickled Ginger
-Crunchy strips (preferably wontons)
-Fresh Bread, toasted (a baguette is perfect)
-Soy Sauce & Wasabi (to server with the stack)
{cut the ahi tuna into small cubes // place your first layer into the (bottomless) container & press down}
{cut the avocado in to pieces about the same size as the tuna // layer the avocado & press down gently}
{loosely chop pickled ginger // layer the ginger & press down gently}
{crumble chips or crackers // layer chips on the top of your stack}
{LAST STEP: wipe down the plate in case any juices seeped out from the plastic container, and then (finally) genitally slide the plastic container up & off the stack... and voila!}
*a little tip: if you are bringing this stack to a party... make sure to leave the the plastic container on while you are transporting it. it's the perfect app for parties... people seem to LOVE it!!!
happy chopping!

Yum. I've seen this style 'rolls' in restaurants and love them. I didn't really think into how they actually made them, simple enough. I'm going to try this now. Thanks for sharing the recipe.
