11 THINGS, Palm Springs!

the fireman & i's romantical trip to Palm Springs this past weekend was fantastic. we definitely adapted to the relaxed Palm Springs life, and quickly! we mastered the art of lounging around pool side all day, only going into town for iced lattes, and eating mint chip ice cream for lunch (ok, i was the only one that did that). neither here nor there. anyway, one major perk to living in LA is the proximity to fun warm places, like PS!! in LA we are only two hours to the desert (Palm Springs) and two hours to the boarder (Mexico). gotta love a quick trip outta town!

SO, here are 11 things i love about the dessert...

this week in my favorite new category Interiors i wanted to show you the beyond colorful & eclectic home of interior designer Emily Henderson. i heard of this Emily Henderson a while back but when she bedazzeled one of my favorite blogger's homes (Bri from Design Love Fest) i had to track this designer down. and once i did, i found this gorgeous collection of photo's from the designers home! i love how she mixes color, prints, different wood types, simple pieces mixed with eclectic flea market finds, and some how adds charm & personality through her designs... basically, i dig her style. i hope you enjoy the photo's below... and can find a little inspiration!

happy friday peeps! this weekend the fireman and i will be jetting off to Palm Springs for a little weekend getaway. ooolala! we are actually going to the dessert for a belated wedding gift from one of our fabulous & very generous family-friends! we have a pretty laid back to-do list lined up for the weekend ahead. we hope to spend a full day at the Ace Hotel pool, cruise downtown to Koffee (a coffee shop we found last year) & Route 66 West (a vintage shop recommended by Cupcakes and Cashmere), and maybe even rent cruiser bikes to ride around town! so needless to say... i can't wait to get out there for our little getaway.

crunchy homemade granola n' fresh berries, sweet fig with goat cheese thin crust pizza, a massive block of cheese with a fresh summer salad, and a to-die-for warm sweet and ice creamy PEACH COBBLER CRUMBLE! 

my mouth is watering.

with all the June Gloom that has been looming over LA for the past week, it was nice to have a little sunshine this past weekend! so i documented a few things in my little world that are bright and making me happy lately. how was your weekend? hopefully it was filled with bright colors, warm weather, and a happy n' meaningful Father's Day.

three: being a Wardrobe Stylist i have a little bit of a hoarding situation when it comes to clothes...

so i use a rolling rack for the clothes that can't seem to fit into my closet. resourceful!

four: this white woven basket is the newest addition to my kitchen AND the perfect home for my fruit.

 five: well that there is our sleepy baby... taking over the couch & getting belly scratches (as usual).
